Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. We typically fill openings with enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates who have strong customer service backgrounds and/or relevant educational paths suited to the industry. As a cashier, you will oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional responsibilities include cash handling, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness and display of merchandise. Your goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must possess basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Upon accepting an offer, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interaction skills
