Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with solid customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. Cashiers are responsible for overseeing the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional responsibilities include cash handling, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor display. Your goal will be to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting the position
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
