Qualifications
  • No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Organizational skills and ability to interact with a diverse work environment.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet and acknowledge customers entering the store, assist on the sales floor, and answer phones professionally within three rings.
  • Operate the cash register, handle cash and credit transactions, process discounts, and balance the register.
  • Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain store cleanliness efficiently and according to standards.
  • Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
  • Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with team members and leadership; collaborate cross-functionally to improve communication.
  • Follow safe work practices and ensure hazard-free workplace by removing obstructions and keeping aisles clear.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress code.
  • Safeguard assets including cash, donated, and purchased items; report theft or unauthorized possession.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, safety, and security regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
