Retail Cashier

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Retail Cashier to join our Ozark Store team. This position offers an hourly rate of $15.00, with bonus pay up to $250/month, and requires no degree; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Key Qualifications

• Effective communication skills with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Organizational skills and ability to interact with a diverse team.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers, assist on the sales floor, and answer the phone professionally within three rings.
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and balance the register.
• Maintain store cleanliness by stocking, straightening, rotating, and cleaning.
• Assist with returns, exchanges, and customer complaints with manager support.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
• Build positive relationships with team members and leadership, and collaborate across teams.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress code.
• Safeguard assets, including cash and donated items, and report any theft or security incidents.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
