Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Paramus, New Jersey, is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team part-time. You will help construct and install in-store carpentry, framing, and finish work that supports a strong visual identity and safe, efficient store environments.

Responsibilities include using a range of tools, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with store operations to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional carpentry-related experience.
  • License and/or certification in carpentry preferred (OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certification)
  • Building/framing walls experience is required
  • Joinery experience is required
  • Painting and wallpaper installation in a professional level on large scale walls experience is required
  • Tiling/floor installation experience is required
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Excel for budgeting/ordering materials is required
  • Experience with Drills, Chop Saw/Milter Saw, Table Saw required

What you'll be doing day to day

You’ll help enhance the in-store customer experience by creating a strong visual impression in line with the IKEA brand:

  • Constructing, building, and preparing in-store media to secure range presentation and the IKEA visual identity.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-Time

BENEFITS ELIGIBLE? Yes

HOURS – 12-20 hours per week. Must have working availability between the hours of 6:00AM-3:00PM from Mondays to Fridays. (Some weeknights, overnights & weekends shifts are required, depending on the needs of the business, remodels/special projects, etc.)

The hourly pay rate range for this role is $25.06 - $35.40

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 25.06 USD to 35.4 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
