Job summary

Verano is hiring a Full-Time Cannabis Advisor in Abington, PA. This role supports customers with cannabis products, educates on usage, and ensures compliance in a busy retail environment.

The position requires 1-2 years of retail experience, a 21+ age threshold, and background checks. You will work closely with store leadership to deliver quality customer care while maintaining stock, accuracy, and a clean, compliant storefront.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and state badging as directed by state ordinances.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and their wellness uses (not medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Provide information on product types, methods, and efficacy.
• Continual cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations as required by laws.
• Stock and replenish displays of inventory.
• Complete POS transactions and ensure METRC/BioTrack updates.
• Other duties as assigned.
