Position Summary

Join a high-performing sales team and drive growth for Do it Best/True Value Company in North & South Carolina. We are a dynamic team committed to aggressive growth as the largest nationally branded hardware cooperative that celebrates independent members/store owners.

Provide focused retail operational consulting while developing proactive partnerships in your assigned territory (North & South Carolina) to become the members' trusted partner in all aspects of their business. The territory includes Raleigh, Charlotte, and Columbia, South Carolina. Increase the Company’s sales and members’ retail sales and profitability. Partner with Members to assess business needs, develop solutions, and create action plans to achieve mutual goals.

The Retail Business Partner can reside in North or South Carolina, covering areas including Raleigh, Charlotte, and Columbia, South Carolina.

Responsibilities
  • Grow Do it Best’s sales within your assigned territories.
  • Guide Members on achieving retail excellence, including improving gross margin, cash flow, expense management, ROI, customer service, brand management, merchandise mix, planograms, labor optimization, store experience, and inventory management (60%).
  • Craft tailored solutions to address members’ challenges, establishing yourself as a trusted partner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and member satisfaction (20%).
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Partner with the New Business Team to expand the number of store locations.
  • Work with new and existing members and the Implementation Team to refresh stores, increasing efficiency and profitability (20%).
Education & Experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with members and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in consultative selling and solution-oriented approaches.
  • Strong financial acumen to understand and explain financial concepts.
  • Results-driven with a passion for delivering excellent member experiences and exceeding sales targets.
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with effective time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Travel

Average of 1-2 days of travel weekly to various member retail stores.
