Job summary

ShopRite of Stroudsburg is seeking an Associate to deliver a great customer experience while handling tender, reporting store sales, and assisting with deposits and receipts. The role requires attention to cash handling, security procedures, and maintaining an orderly, clean store environment.

Essential duties include greeting customers, following loss prevention guidelines, balancing drawers, and supporting Courtesy Counter operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Adhere to security policies and cash handling procedures.
• Record store sales and hourly readings.
• Balance drawers, house funds, and other cash areas daily.
• Perform duties in accordance with QA and safety standards.
• Dress and groom according to company policy.
