Job summary

ShopRite of Watchung is seeking a Bookkeeper to manage all forms of tender, balance daily drawers, and handle deposits with accuracy and security. You will support Courtesy Counter operations and maintain safe, clean store conditions.

The role requires basic math skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and excellent English communication for customer service and cash handling duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with products and maintain safety standards.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Record store sales and hourly readings and balance drawers.
• Handle all forms of tender and deposits and report store sales.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures and company rules.
