Job summary

Beal Service Corporation is seeking a Retail Banking Specialist to provide frontline support and service to customers while ensuring adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.

The role involves processing transactions, handling various account products, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on customer service, data integrity, and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years customer service experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with 10-key touch and Microsoft Office; able to learn banking software quickly.
• Knowledge of banking products, policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of customer transactions accurately per bank policies and regulations.
• Open, service, and close account products (CDs, Money Market, Savings, Retirement).
• Balance cash drawer and assist with cash vault balancing; handle audits and controls.
• Answer calls, resolve questions and escalate issues as needed to appropriate resources.
• Imaging of documents and quality control checks; maintain organized work area.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

Summary:

The Retail Banking Specialist is responsible for providing frontline support and service to current and potential customers ensuring all bank policies, procedures and regulatory compliance are adhered to.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with bank policies and regulations. This includes the opening, servicing and closing of all account products offered by the bank (CD’s, Money Market, Statement Savings and Retirement Accounts).
• Teller transactions such as cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, issuing Monetary Instruments, placing stop payments, etc.
• Performs opening, closing, and other branch servicing duties. Balancing cash drawer, assist with cash vault balancing, opening and processing of incoming mail, completing logs, reports, some audits and control checks while maintaining a neat and organized work area.
• Answer incoming phone calls, address customer questions and concerns and escalates any problems, concerns, or disputes to appropriate internal resources for resolution as appropriate.
• Imaging of customer documents and quality control check of documents once imaged.
• Enhances customer satisfaction and the professional reputation of the Bank, by warmly greeting, engaging, and developing good professional relationships with customers.
• Practices branch security procedures and protects customer confidentiality and privacy.
• Actively participate in CRA activities to ensure that all required monthly goals are met.
• Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

• Prior experience as a teller or new account representative preferred
• Minimum 2-4 years customer service experience
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency with 10-key touch and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn banking software applications.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to remain composed and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with customers and internal team members.
