Job summary

Beal Bank USA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc requests. This is an on-site position with no remote/hybrid option.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting duties across Fed and state requirements. Compliance with internal controls and on-time submission are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting processes.
• Experience with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, complete, and properly supported journal entries.
• Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Monitor deposit clearing accounts daily and resolve issues.
• Process wires, prepare journals, perform OFAC checks, and coordinate with departments.
• Prepare daily check-funding entries for branch checks.
• Prepare accrual entries for month-end close.
• Prepare FR 2420 and FR 2900 Fed reporting on deadlines.
• Prepare Nevada Thrift reports monthly, semi-annually, annually.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly accounting tasks on schedule.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting requests and provide financial analysis.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Review work for errors and adhere to policies and approvals.

Summary: Beal Bank USA is seeking a dependable, highly detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc accounting requests. This is a fully on-site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Prepare accurate, complete, and properly supported journal entries.
• Prepare account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Monitor deposit clearing accounts daily and investigate or elevate outstanding or unusual items.
• Process incoming wires - prepare journals and wire packet, run OFAC checks, and notify departments, on a rotational basis for cross-training and coverage purposes.
• Prepare daily check‑funding entries for branch checks.
• Prepare accrual entries and supporting documentation for the month‑end close.
• Prepare daily FR 2420 Federal Reserve reporting accurately and within required deadlines.
• Prepare weekly FR 2900 Federal Reserve reporting accurately and within required deadlines.
• Prepare monthly, semi‑annual, and annual Nevada Thrift reports.
• Perform assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities accurately and on schedule.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting requests, including journal entries, reconciliations, account research, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well‑organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review all work carefully to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing information, and unusual activity before submission.
• Follow established accounting policies, internal controls, reporting requirements, and approval procedures.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and fundamental accounting processes.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities as business needs change.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and INDEX/MATCH.
• Demonstrated ownership, reliability, professional judgment, and accountability.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and customer information appropriately.
• Ability and willingness to work on‑site during all scheduled working hours.

CPA Certification Is Not Required For This Position.
