Job summary

Rockland Trust is offering Summer 2027 Retail Banking Intern opportunities across our branch network, including Greater Boston, the South Shore, the North Shore, Central Massachusetts, Cape Cod and Southern New Hampshire. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with customers and supporting tellers, bankers, and branch managers.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of college and enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university.
• Interest in banking, business, finance, customer service, or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver friendly, professional customer service and learn quickly.
• Willingness to work in a branch environment; ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Eligible for internship credit with college/university authorization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an 8- to 12-week internship program providing hands-on retail banking experience.
• Complete Teller Training Program and other learning opportunities.
• Support day-to-day branch operations and assist customers.
• Learn to process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing and other transactions.
• Network with colleagues and participate in career development activities.
