Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Part-Time Retail Associate to support merchandise operations at Riverhounds home games and related events, helping to create an engaging fan experience. Must be able to stand for long periods and work flexible hours.

Under the Director of Merchandise, you will greet customers, answer questions, process transactions, restock displays, and assist with promotions to drive sales and team pride.

Job description

Position: Retail Associate - Merchandise (Part-Time)

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have been Pittsburgh's premier professional soccer team since its inception in 1999, and play in the United Soccer League, one of the largest and fastest growing professional soccer organizations in North America. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC are seeking part-time Game Day Retail Associates who are interested in working with team merchandise and creating enjoyable customer experiences within a professional sports setting.

We are looking for Retail Associates to work directly with the Director of Merchandise to assist customers and maintain merchandise standards during Riverhounds and off-site events (i.e. Academy Tournaments, Pop-Ups). This is an hourly position and in addition to game day, could require added responsibilities at F.N.B. Stadium during regular business hours, various retail pop-up locations and/or events at our other facilities as available.

Duties Include

• Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Answer questions about merchandise, sizing, availability, and team information.
• Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs and preferences.
• Assist customers with returns and exchanges, following company policies and procedures.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and strive to find solutions that ensure satisfaction.
• Create a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers.

Merchandise

• Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
• Supple design and style ideas to Director / Assist in development of merchandise
• Restock shelves and displays to ensure product availability.
• Keep merchandise clean and organize product as needed.
• Assist with special promotions and displays as needed.

Sales And Cashiering

• Operate the register accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions.
• Upsell and cross-sell relevant merchandise to increase sales.
• Promote current promotions and discounts to customers.
• Collect and process payments by credit/debit cards.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

Additional Responsibilities

• As needed, work in office environment to assist with product development, new products, promotions, and retail initiatives.
• Help pick and pack online orders on an as needed basis
• Non-gameday duties available to assist in preparing product for retail.
• Represent the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in a professional and positive manner at all times.
