Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Auburn, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Associate (25 hours/week) to provide friendly customer service and support donations processing. You will ring up sales, assist donors, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment for shoppers and donors alike.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, managing the register, sorting and pricing donations, and collaborating with the team to meet daily sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or current pursuit, preferred.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service and operate POS.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, basic math and computer skills.

Job Type : Part-time, 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
