Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in New Haven, IN is hiring a Retail Associate on a part-time basis. You will help turn donations into funding for community programs, provide excellent customer service, process merchandise, and create a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly customer service is required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a helpful, welcoming attitude.
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Assist donors with donations per center policy.
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise.
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor or designated areas.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily sales and production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $13.50 per hour Job Type: Part-time, Regular Schedule: 18 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned
