Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and contribute to a clean, organized store environment.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, handle payments, and help unload trucks while protecting company assets and delivering friendly service. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move directly to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to itemize and total purchases.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Maintain clean store front and assist with sidewalk displays when necessary.
