Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the first point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and maintain displays. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help ensure profitability and teamwork while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, assisting shoppers, and maintaining cleanliness. This role requires basic cash handling, good communication, and the ability to read merchandising

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store or stock on sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean store areas, including restroom and stockroom; setup sidewalk displays as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
