Job summary

Goodwill of South Mississippi is seeking a Store Associate in Wiggins, MS. The role entails delivering outstanding customer service, processing transactions, merchandising, and stocking the floor.

You will interact with donors and customers, assist with loading/unloading donations, and help maintain a safe, organized store environment. The position requires 18+ years old, flexible weekends/holidays, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with a team lift.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• Able to interact cordially with a diverse group of individuals.
• Able to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Able to meet production goals.
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 lbs or up to 100lbs utilizing a team lift.
• Able to engage in prolonged standing and walking.
• Able to perform frequent bending, stooping and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service at the store floor.
• Process transactions accurately at the register.
• Merchandise and stock the sales floor.
• Assist customers with donations and merchandise selection.
• Assist donors with unloading and loading donations and sold goods.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, and cards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all store policies and safety procedures.
• Participate in promotions and community outreach.
• Support team and contribute to store goals.
