CommunityAid in Hanover, PA is seeking a Retail Associate to manage the sales floor, assist customers, restock merchandise, and cashier under the direction of the Retail Supervisor. Our culture emphasizes respect, teamwork, and serving the public and partners with professionalism.

The role requires a High School diploma (preferred), at least six months of retail experience, scheduling flexibility including evenings and weekends, English proficiency, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience in a service-oriented business helpful.
• Evenings and weekend availability.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic math skills.
• Attendance and weekly hours as defined by DoL status.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, excellent customer service and ensure a great shopping experience.
• Seize on every opportunity to engage customers and deter theft.
• Assist with merchandising, restocking, and transporting merchandise on the sales floor.
• Understand products, promotions, and contribute to improving retail sales figures.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area and store.
• Follow CommunityAid’s sales methods and tagging system.
• Be flexible to meet store needs, answer questions, assist with opening/closing, and other tasks by Management.
• Report theft, complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions to Management.
• Operate the cash register accurately per cash-handling guidelines.
• Comply with Employee Handbook and company standards.
