Role
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Retail Associate is responsible for the successful operation of the sales floor, including customer service, maintaining full racks, cashiering, and working with flexibility at the direction of the Retail Supervisor. Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a great shopping experience.
- Engage customers actively to enhance their shopping experience and deter theft.
- Assist with merchandising, replenishing stock, monitoring fitting rooms, and transporting merchandise.
- Understand product offerings, promotions, and work to improve sales figures.
- Maintain a neat and organized work environment and store.
- Learn and apply CommunityAid’s sales and marketing methods, including floor layout and tagging system.
- Respond flexibly to store needs, including customer assistance, store opening/closing, and other tasks.
- Report thefts, customer complaints, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Operate cash register accurately and efficiently following company cash handling guidelines.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Retail experience helpful but not mandatory.
- Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Basic math skills.
- Consistent attendance and adherence to weekly hours based on employment status.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry 21-35 pounds.
- Occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods.
