General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed. The role requires engagement in all tasks assigned during working hours and flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining awareness and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide excellent service.
• Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and resolve issues courteously.
• Support the Company brand and uphold its standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to the company's dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure merchandise is organized, clean, and well-presented.
• Expedite merchandise receipts and ensure proper merchandising according to guidelines.
• Understand and follow Loss Prevention and merchandise protection standards.
• Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information.
• Follow policies regarding stock management, cash handling, and transactions.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership in a friendly manner.
• Basic mathematical skills used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to operate store equipment such as registers and PDTs.
• Standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Use of janitorial and store equipment as needed.
• Stockroom associates must be able to lift more than 20 pounds regularly.
