Job summary

JOOLA is seeking an energetic Retail Associate for our flagship store to be the face of the brand in-person. You will deliver welcoming, educational, and energetic interactions that inspire customers from beginners to pros.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability within a fast-paced retail environment. This full-time position emphasizes brand presentation, training support, and a premium consumer experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail, customer service, or relevant experience (keyholder or leadership experience required).
• Enthusiasm for pickleball, sports, or active lifestyle brands.
• Familiarity with pickleball is a plus, including basic rules, paddle technology, and accessories.
• Proven ability to lead by example, coach peers, and support a team-first culture.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work five full days per week, including weekends; blackout period noted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience by connecting with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending the right JOOLA products.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed, overseeing store flow, customer experience, and associate support.
• Open and close the store with confidence, following operational and security procedures.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of new team members, fostering a positive and knowledgeable environment.
• Set the tone for service, teamwork, and professionalism on every shift by leading by example.
• Assist with daily priorities, scheduling needs, and operational communication as directed by the Store Manager.
• Ensure store organization, cleanliness, and merchandising aligns with premium brand presentation and seasonal strategy.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and ensuring accurate restocking.
• Adapt to evolving product assortments, operational strategies, and customer expectations to maintain a fresh and dynamic retail experience.

• Availability Requirements:
• Must be available five full days per week, 2 of which must be Saturday and Sunday.
• A blackout period will be in effect from November 21 through January 14, during which time time-off requests outside of stated availability cannot be accommodated.
