Job summary

Elmwood Park Zoo is seeking team members for Guest Services who can work weekends and holidays and handle cash transactions in a fast-paced retail setting. The role supports safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction across the Zoo.

You will report to the Guest Services Management Team and help foster appreciation of wildlife through excellent customer service and smooth operation of retail points at the Zoo.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash handling and retail operations.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Customer service oriented in a guest-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Zoo in fostering an appreciation of wildlife and the environment that will inspire active participation in conservation.
• Assist Management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of the operation of the Zoo.
• Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures for their specific department and the Zoo at all times.

Reports to: Guest Services Management Team

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on the event calendar, weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change and may require late shift hours.
