Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Homewood Mountain & Lake Club is seeking a Retail Associate to join the Retail Department in Homewood, California. The role focuses on exceptional guest service, assist guests with product selections, and driving sales through engagement and product knowledge.

You will maintain knowledge of merchandise, promotions, and pricing, while ensuring the shop is well-presented and operational per the department plan. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude with professional demeanor and excellent communication with members, guests, and team.
• Proficiency with standard office tech: email, web apps, Microsoft Office, and digital tools; RTP experience preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality, ski resorts, or related field is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assist guests in identifying products based on needs and intended use.
• Maintain current knowledge of merchandise, promotions, pricing, and services.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance, information, and solutions.
• Respond to questions and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain and troubleshoot resort sales systems including RTP when needed.
• Ensure Retail Shop operates per the Department Operating Plan (DOP).
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, inventory organization and presentation.
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Homewood Mountain & Lake Club is seeking a Retail Associate to join the Retail Department.

Job Summary

The Retail Associate provides exceptional guest service while helping guests select products that best meet their needs. This role drives retail sales through active engagement, suggestive selling, product knowledge, and a welcoming, professional approach. The Retail Associate is expected to create a positive and memorable guest experience by anticipating guest needs, providing knowledgeable recommendations, and resolving questions or concerns promptly and accurately.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet, and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist guests in identifying and selecting products based on their needs, preferences, and intended use.
• Maintain current knowledge of merchandise, resort products, promotions, pricing, and relevant services.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance, information, and solutions.
• Respond to questions and concerns and resolve complaints promptly, accurately, and professionally.
• Maintain proficiency with resort sales, processing, and database technology platforms, including RTP, and troubleshoot basic system functionality as needed.
• Ensure the Retail Shop is maintained and operated in accordance with its Department Operating Plan (DOP).
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, inventory organization, and maintaining appropriate product presentation.
• Snow removal as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $21-$23 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
