Job summary

The Cannabist Company, DBA The Green Solution, is hiring a Full Time Retail Associate to guide patients, educate on cannabis products, and deliver excellent customer care. You will work closely with store leadership, support inventory control, and manage patient records while upholding company values.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of retail experience with POS systems, strong English communication, and a passion for compliant service. Schedule includes weekends; MED badge is required.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a retail operation with POS systems and MS Office.
  • Passionate about all aspects of retail operations, compliance and inventory control.
  • Excellent and effective consulting and customer-facing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow instructions and organize work.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure intake forms and paperwork are completed and filed; enter data into databases.
  • Confirm patient purchase limits before consultation and dispensary entry.
  • Provide exceptional customer care and maintain positive relations with customers.
  • Respond to calls or emails for product information, training, and general inquiries.
  • Manage patient records using state and company databases; keep databases updated.
  • Fulfill customer orders and promote all products with integrity.
  • Maintain trust and integrity for company products.

Position Overview

The Retail Associate provides guidance and education to each patient with cannabis needs. They are responsible for providing customer care with empathy, compassion and professionalism. Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Full Time Retail Associate, who shares our passion to provide quality medicine and excellent patient care to patients and who support the Company's core values and culture. The Retail Associate works closely and collaboratively with the dispensing facility leadership and reports to the Store Manager and Lead Associates.

Schedule: Full time including weekends

Travel %: 0

FLSA status: Non-exempt

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
  • Ensures all intake forms and other paperwork is properly completed and filed correctly, then enters all appropriate information in company databases for future reference
  • Confirms patient purchase limits prior to admission into the consultation area and dispensary
  • Provide exceptional Customer Care by promoting and maintaining positive customer relations
  • Respond to calls or emails from customers requesting product, training, and general information
  • Management of patient records through the use of state and company database
  • Maintenance and update of databases as needed
  • Fulfillment of customer orders
  • Responsible for the sales and promotion of all products
  • Build and maintain a high level of integrity and trust for specific products
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a retail operation, point of sales systems and use of Microsoft office programs
  • Must be passionate about handling all aspects of a retail operation, compliance and inventory control
  • Excellent and effective consulting skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to detail and able to consistently follow up instructions as outlined
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • MED badge required
Additional Abilities Required:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). Must be able to speak and communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
