Job summary

Birch Hospitality, LLC at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is seeking friendly Retail Associates to join our team. You will greet guests, assist with park inquiries, and handle payments at the point of sale in a fast-paced, coastal environment.

Responsibilities include restocking, maintaining displays, opening/closing duties, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is expected, with potential physical tasks.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with POS systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Are you looking for your next adventure? Birch Hospitality, LLC at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park offers beautiful scenery, a full-service restaurant and bar, gift shop, and various beach and water rentals! We're looking for friendly Retail Associates to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the store & provide friendly customer service
• Assist customers with all park related inquiries
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards and making change
• Restock and maintain displays
• Participate in closing, opening procedures
• Participate in daily cleaning/maintenance duties
• Contribute to a positive environment where all employees trust and respect each other

Position Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with others
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
• Display energy and enthusiasm when working with customers and fellow Associates
• Dependable to always be on time and on schedule
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Able to lift frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Position also involves frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting and up to 8 hours per day on feet in a fast paced environment.

Education and Experience

• Experience: Demonstrated ability to handle general math
• Minimum 1 year retail sales experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience with POS systems preferred
