Job summary

The Grill at The Grove in Fort Lauderdale is seeking energetic Beach Rental Associates to manage our beachfront rental services. Responsibilities include setting up rental equipment, assisting guests, and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should have strong communication skills, be able to work flexible shifts, and handle physical tasks, including lifting. Qualifications

• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet, up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

• Assisting guests with loading/unloading kayaks if needed.
• Greet customers and provide friendly customer service.
• Participate in closing, opening procedures.
• Keep retail and/or rental storage space clean and organized.

We are looking for energetic, dependable, and friendly Beach Rental Associates to help operate our beachfront rental location in Fort Lauderdale. We rent kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear to tourists and locals enjoying the beach and nearby state park.

Responsibilities

• Setting up beach chairs and beach rental equipment
• Assisting guests with loading/unloading kayaks if needed
• Greet customers and provide friendly customer service
• Assist customers with all park related inquiries
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point of sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards and making change
• Restock and maintain retail displays or rental equipment
• Participate in closing, opening procedures
• Keep retail and/or rental storage space clean and organized
• Demonstrate knowledge of rentals, park and safety information

Position Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Majority of shift will be spent on feet, up to 8 hours per day
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Position involves frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.

Knowledge and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience: Two (2) years retail/rental experience preferred
