Job summary

Roses Express, a Variety Wholesalers, Inc. banner in Sandersville, GA, is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to help deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training staff, managing opening/closing, safeguarding assets, maintaining stockrooms and sales floors, and ensuring the store meets productivity goals. Flexibility for full-time or part-time schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs; frequent walking and standing required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by Store Manager
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in absence of Store Manager
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain professional environment for customers and staff
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly team members when Store Manager is away
• Process SSC Corporate directives
• Assist in receipt/return of merchandise and freight flow
• Meet or exceed productivity standards
• Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise
• Maintain stockroom organization and sales floor readiness
• Ensure daily sales effectiveness and adherence to weekly directives
