Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Greenville, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and supervise Store Associates.

The position requires a high school diploma and retail management experience is preferred. This is a part-time role with opportunities to grow and contribute to promotional displays and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform active store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping/mopping, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
