Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, leading and developing staff, recruiting, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position requires analyzing financial statements, promoting asset protection, and driving business growth. Employees work with diverse merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and store performance. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager
- Foster a customer-centric environment and address customer issues promptly.
- Assist in training and developing staff.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, including cash and merchandise counts.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory and safety protocols.
- Oversee store processes like inventory management, merchandising, and reporting.
- Analyze financial data to meet profitability goals.
- Maintain operational standards and monitor loan processes.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Effective supervisory skills.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain certification.
- Minimum age of 18 years, high school diploma or GED.
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations and weekends/holidays.
- Proficiency with POS systems and office machines.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
