Position Overview
The Assistant Team Leader (ATL) supports the Store Team Leader in managing the successful operation of the store’s front-end. The ATL leads a passionate retail sales team focused on merchandise sales and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and related reports to meet financial and operational goals.
- Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors to provide exceptional associate and customer experiences, ensuring company standards are met in every interaction.
- Maintain store standards and ensure operational expectations are met.
- Oversee the proper maintenance of the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the store.
- Assign daily tasks to associates and monitor productivity.
- Perform all Team Leader functions to open and close the store as needed.
- Assist with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and staffing to meet store needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of retail management experience with a mid to large retailer.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods and work safely.
