Summer Classics is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager at the Pelham Outlet to lead daily operations and deliver an exceptional client experience on the showroom floor and in the stockroom. You will support the Store Manager, oversee staff responsibilities, and uphold brand standards.

The ideal candidate has retail management experience, a passion for luxury products, and the ability to coach teams, drive sales, and maintain a professional, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, design, or related area.
• 3+ years in retail/design with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience driving sales via data-driven decisions.
• Luxury retail experience preferred.
• Strong coaching and performance management skills.
• Proficient with CRM/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager at the Pelham Outlet locationto help lead daily operations and ensure an exceptional client experience in our showroom. In this role, you will support the Store Manager, oversee staff responsibilities, and maintain the highest standards of presentation and service on the sales floor and in the stockroom. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with retail management experience, a passion for client service, and the ability to drive sales while fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.

What You Do

• Ensure showroom presentation and merchandising align with brand standards.
• Monitor stockroom standards, visual integrity, and cleanliness throughout both client‑facing, stockroom, or warehouse areas.
• Coordinate daily store operations, opening, closing, inventory, merchandising, safety, and cash controls.
• Drive high‑quality client experience.
• Address client service challenges promptly and professionally.
• Assist in lead/business reviews, reporting performance insights, and recommending course corrections when needed.
• Exhibit and reinforce brand values, professional conduct, and polished presentation.
• Foster a constructive and collaborative environment among associates.
• Maintain operational standards, including security and audit processes.
• Support sales performance through coaching on service, upselling, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system usage.
• Deliver feedback and support skill development, aligning with brand-level client experience and expectations.
• Help monitor sales and operational metrics.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Store Manager and participate in follow‑up.
• Serve as the leader‑on‑duty and escalate issues as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, design, or related area preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in retail or design environment with at least two years in a leadership role; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to drive sales and profitability through metric‑driven decision making, business analysis, and goal setting.
• Strong aptitude for selling luxury products with a focus on delivering exceptional client experience.
• Ability to hold teams accountable while fostering a culture of performance and professional growth.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to coach, influence, and resolve conflict effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with CRM and ERP systems preferred.
• Technical knowledge of space planning and design practices preferred, knowledge of fabrics, applications, and merchandising standards highly valued.
• Financial and operational acumen including inventory control, budgeting, payroll oversight, and cash management.
• Positive, professional demeanor with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Commitment to brand standards, presentation, and risk management practices to protect profitability and elevate client experience.
• Clean MVR and the ability to obtain and maintain a CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) license within one week, if needed.
