Position Summary

The Store Assistant Manager is a key advocate for Schmitt Music and the local community. This role combines business acumen, a passion for music, and a desire to help others succeed. Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of store performance.
• Lead store operational duties and initiatives.
• Achieve positive financial results in sales, inventory management, and expenses.
• Exceed sales plan contribution targets.
• Develop and motivate a competent sales team focused on customer experience and success.
• Represent Schmitt’s Better Than Rent programs at local schools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequent reaching, talking, hearing; standing, walking, and sitting.
• May involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• May lift up to 20-30 pounds.
• Experience with music products, instruments, band/orchestra, or piano knowledge required.
• Proven success in team development and coaching.
• Ability to present information effectively in various settings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Availability to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and background check required.
