Job summary

Family Dollar in Abilene, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and ensure shelves and displays are well maintained while upholding store standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience preferred, and strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store activities communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and records including payroll and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and supervise/train store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
