Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Jackson, MS. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support opening/closing procedures.

You will also help with payroll, scheduling, cash handling, loss prevention, and maintaining store standards while fostering a positive, safe work environment for associates. This is a part-time role in Mississippi.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and frequent walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits
• Maintain clean, stocked store areas; protect store assets
• Adhere to policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates
• Maintain safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
