Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Thornton, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening/closing procedures while upholding company standards.

You will also help with payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention, and assist the Store Manager in training and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical activities as needed.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customers with inquiries and concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain front and backroom displays and cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Protect store assets and ensure security procedures.
• Lead and develop store associates under the store manager.
• Ensure a safe, professional and respectful environment.
