Job summary

Dollar Tree in Fremont, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. This part-time leadership role involves assisting with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and loss prevention while maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and Associates.

You will help organize merchandise, train Associates, and ensure compliance with policies while contributing to a consistently positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles is advantageous.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and manage payroll and scheduling.
• Protect store assets including cash and safekeeping of records.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
