Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. in Monterey Park, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a seamless, customer-centric shopping experience on the sales floor.

You will recruit and develop associates, drive store performance, and uphold brand standards through in-store events and community connections. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability - including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.
