Job summary

The Assistant Manager will step in during the Store Manager's absence and help guide employees across departments to meet store goals and profitability through proactive supervision and service.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in Store Manager's absence.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate store personnel with guidance from Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards are met and communicate movement and trends to Store Manager.
