Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee hourly staff, partner with the Store Manager to maintain a safe, clean, and friendly store, and model professional behavior and effective communication.

Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, maintaining merchandising standards, completing daily and weekly reports, overseeing cash handling, and supporting staff training and cross-training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Some managerial and retail sales experience preferred.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hourly personnel and ensure a safe, clean, friendly store.
• Lead by example with professional behavior and communication.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors.
• Coordinate staff training and cross-training opportunities with the Store Manager.
• Assist in meeting sales and production goals.
• Maintain merchandising standards and pricing guidelines.
