Job summary

The Assistant Manager will step in for the Store Manager when needed and assist with scheduling, training, and supervision to uphold store standards and drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Consult with Store Manager to plan selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibility in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Help manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure inventory movement and customer trends are monitored for profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department goals and policies.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in manuals.
