Job summary

The Assistant Manager will supervise staff in the Store Manager’s absence, train teammates, monitor inventory and sales trends, and promote merchandise while ensuring excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear or athletic apparel is preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes store in Store Manager's absence.
• Assist with personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses for profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards are met.
• Inform Store Manager about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service per manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
