Job summary

The Assistant Manager at Hibbett Retail, Inc. is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in overall operations and administrative duties, including determining methods to achieve store goals.

The assistant understands every department and upholds policies and standards while delivering outstanding customer service. They assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence and support staff in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling to ensure profitable store

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Consult with the Store Manager to set action plans for selling, restocking, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Ensure inventory, sales statistics, and expenses support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Promote and sell Hibbett services and merchandise.
• Maintain quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
