Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Columbia, TN to assist the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties while promoting merchandise and delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires knowledge of each product area, supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence, and training of staff. You will support policies and standards as outlined in company manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Maintain customer service quality as outlined in manuals and policies.
