Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Chesapeake, VA seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service. You will be knowledgeable across departments, supervise in the Store Manager's absence, and help with selling, restocking, merchandising, and scheduling.

Qualifications

Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
1-3 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with multitasking.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
Ensure profitability by monitoring inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
