Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Mexico LLC is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, processing directives, and supervising store associates to foster a positive environment. Strong communication and physical stamina are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities to the team.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Guide and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
