Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Mexico LLC in Lordsburg is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver customer service, and develop the team.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, maintain displays, and help with opening/closing, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention, while upholding company policies and a positive work environment.

The role requires strong communication, a high-energy team mindset, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness; ensure inventory integrity.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a positive, safe environment.
