Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Mexico LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help supervise daily activities, train associates, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail or grocery management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas, stockroom, and displays to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling.
• Support loss prevention and protect store assets.
• Train and develop store associates and supervise in absence of Store Manager.
