Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing. You will work with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and foster development of store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, and cash handling.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of staff; support staffing levels.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Support merchandising, operations, and visual standards.
