Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in Douglas, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations and drive performance. You will supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, manage scheduling, and support the Store Manager in achieving revenue goals.

This full-time role requires leadership, a willingness to learn across retail functions, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with two years of management experience.
• Three years of management experience instead of a degree.
• Prior experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Trains develops, and coaches all team members.
• Supervises customer services including proper returns, exchanges, and sales.
• Ensures staffing and schedule are managed properly, supplies are ordered and available and housekeeping is performed properly.
• Supervises warehouse and receiving to ensure month-end goals are met.
• Oversees the production area to ensure donations are properly received, sorted, cleaned, and priced.
• Ensures production is properly merchandised for effective selling.
• Ensures the production and sales flow are operating effectively and employees are accountable to the processes and procedures set by the company.
• Completes task outlines, safety tests, and online training.
• Ensures all policies and procedures are executed properly.
• Maintains 24/7 responsibilities to respond to alarm codes, opening, and closing protocols.
• Opens and closes the store and manages all areas of the retail and warehouse operations, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
